MY WARDROBE HQ wins two Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards!

This week, MY WARDROBE HQ was awarded two accolades at the inaugural Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards, taking home the Recommerce and Ones to Watch titles.

Drapers recognised that now is a crucial time for sustainable change within the industry and wanted to recognise the key businesses driving that change.

“We are so honoured to have been recognised with two awards from Drapers,” said CEO & Co-founder Sacha Newall. “We truly believe the rental revolution is here – people are now able to access incredible brands at a fraction of the retail price, whilst reducing their impact to the planet. It’s a truly wonderful thing.”

Out of six nominees, MY WARDROBE HQ was selected for the Recommerce award, which recognises businesses that sell or rent pre-loved items. Judges selected MY WARDROBE HQ for its “excellent execution across an efficient, elegant and easy-to-use platform and slick behind-the-scenes operation”. They praised the work to promote a circular approach to shoppers, while enabling brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Christopher Kane and Coach to address excess stock issues.

MY WARDROBE HQ was also highlighted in the ‘Ones to Watch’ category, which recognises new and emerging fashion companies that are built on sustainable values but also demonstrate signs of commercial viability. Though Drapers was inundated with submissions,  MY WARDROBE HQ was one of twenty brands selected. Drapers acknowledged MY WARDROBE HQ’s incredible rental presence including dressing of 80 influencers for the British Fashion Awards, impressive brand selection, and bricks-and-mortar pop-up in Liberty London at the start of 2020.
